I just want to say thank you. I'm finishing up my first ILM implementation, and this is about the 15th time your articles are more straightforward and practical than the MS documentation. A good demonstration of the behavior of the ValueCollection was a huge time saver.

Join rules should run top-down - but that's the whole rule, and not the individual conditions within a rule. It may well be that the conditions execute in whatever order the attributes are processed - and we have no control over that.

The conflict resolution rule may well run each time. If you don't want it to I would suggest testing the size of rgmventry.

Hi Carol,
I have Two different SQL datasource and two MAs, ADDataMA and SQLDataMA and have 7 Join Rules in SQLDataMA.

After debugging Join Rules by attaching Visual Studio IDE with MIISServer process i found that Join Rules are not executing in sequence unless I place it one after another. I have not put any direct join.

E.g.
Join Rule 1: Rule Extension Name
First_Name FirstNameMappingRule
Email EmailMappingRule
Login LoginMappingRule

Join Rule 2:
Email EmailMappingRule
Login LoginMappingRule

One more question, When Conflict Resolution Rule RUN?
In My case, when every Join Rule Fails Conflict Resolution Rule RUN regardless of the fact that multiple records are found or not.

Please clarify, Thanks
